This is a magnesium firestarter (MFS). It is a block of magnesium which can be shaved for tinder with a striker attached to the side. |

This is a homemade sewing kit. I made it in elementary school out of a large matchbook. Remove the matches and cut a piece of light cardboard and a piece of cloth to fit inside. Restaple the matchbook together. Notch the cardboard in two places on each side and wind thread on. The cloth hold pin and needles. I've also added a couple of safety pin. |
