This pic shows my BOB firearms and ammo load. The rifle is a Marlin 1894S lever action .44 special/magnum. It holds 10+1 .44 magnum rounds and 11+1 .44 specials. The revolver is a Magnaported Ruger Redhawk in .44 magnum. The sights have been switched to a gold bead front and V-notch rear. The ammo load is 124 rounds. The buttstock bandoleer holds 18 .44 special rounds and another 10 rounds are in the belt holder on the sling. Ten rounds are kept in the tube. The two wallet boxes on the right hold 42 rounds total. The four speedloaders hold 24 more rounds. Finally a box of 20 rounds is sitting on top of the wallets. |

This pic shows some of my survival cutting tools. The two in the middle are the most relied upon now. The hatchet is my 'mini hatchet' that I often talk about. As you can see it isn't very big. It is large enough for light chopping and small enough to be used as a knife if needed. The third tool is a *** Bowie recently given to me by a friend. So far this has been a marvelous survival tool. The blade is ATS34 stainless steel. The blade is wide and thin, hence it has strength, but can also be used as a skinner, etc. It does a good job of chopping when needed too! The top blade is a Camillus USAF Survival Knife. This use to be one of my main knives, but now feels thick and not as useful as the *** Bowie. The bottom tool is an EK Survival/Fighter Half Grind. The handle is one piece with the blade and is wrapped with paracord. It is mostly a fighting knife and doesn't have many other uses. |
